We write what makes your day.
The eighth grade culmination is coming up and the eighth graders are entering a new field of learning. How exciting!
For anyone who doesn’t know what a Culmination is, here you go: A culmination is the highest or climactic point of something, especially as obtained after a long time. So basically, a culmination is moving on from the highest point of learning or something that you have achieved.
JBMS's 8th grade culmination will be on June 9th, which is also the last day of school, on a Friday. That school day will be a minimum day for 6th and 7th graders, meaning we will be getting out of school at 12:27. The culmination will be broken down into three time slots. The first one will be in the morning at 9:00, the second one will be between 11:30 and 12:00, and the final one will be at 3:00. The culminating eighth graders will have a run through during the last week or two of school.
There is a very clear dress code: no low cut or too short dresses, no hats or beanies, no sweats or sportswear; everyone must wear middle school appropriate clothing. There was a webinar elaborating on more specific details, but you could also ask Mr. Corral (the assistant eighth grade
principal) or Ms. Andrade (the eighth grade counselor). Some of the topics in the webinar were: Students cannot have more than 3 U’s
Bad behavior will reflect on you
A bad encounter on the day of can determine whether or not you walk across the stage. Everything counts.
Mr. Corral is also trying to get a city permit, so that parents can be able to park where the houses are as well as where the school is. This is very considerate of the parents having to pick up their kids who aren’t part of the Culmination.
We'd like to say a special goodbye to our Eighth Grade bears.... we hope you have success in all you go for. Thank you for reading!
That’s it! A quick and simple review of a few games I think are worth buying. If you ever have an idea on what else I should cover, come up to me if you see me in the halls. Look for my signature hat! .
