We write what makes your day.
What if you got a security job at Chuck E. Cheese’s but while doing your nightly rounds, you stumble upon a walking, bloodthirsty animatronic that only has one goal: it can’t let you survive five nights?
The “Five Nights at Freddy’s” video game franchise has spread around the world as fans took a liking to it because of its unique game mechanics. You have to survive as a security guard at a haunted pizzeria for five nights. With its popularity growing, a movie was bound to happen. Now, after 8 years of deliberation, we’ve finally got a look at the cast, the storyline, and the teaser trailer.
The movie has been announced to star Josh Hutcherson, 30, the security guard. The main antagonist, William Afton, will be played by Matthew Lillard who also voices Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Other members of the cast include Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Kay Conner Sterling. The official release date has been set to October 27, 2023, and will also be streaming on Peacock the same day.
On Tuesday, May 17, the teaser was released giving viewers a sneak peek at the animatronics. The reviews have mostly been positive with some people complaining about the white gloves Freddy is wearing or the fact they gave the animatronics red eyes. The critique has been widespread and has affected many people’s views of the upcoming movie. I believe this will be a box office hit and generate enough money to create a sequel and maybe a prequel.

The trailer starts with a vintage VHS training tape meant to be shown to the security guard that “has been chosen by Freddy to be the new security guard.” The camera pans to show the pizzeria and we see Mike walking through and turning on the power to boot up the sign. Then there is a montage of multiple scenes showing the animatronics, ghost kids, and William Afton. The ending scene is where the little girl Piper Rubio is hiding in the ball pit from the animatronics Freddy and Bonnie.
This is a moment 8 years in the making. We’ve been waiting for what feels like an eternity and it’s finally here. I think we should all just be happy and appreciate the amount of time and effort Scott has put into this movie and the games themselves. That’s it for the final article of the Game Boy Gazette™️. Have a great rest of the year!
